WELCOME TO 2015

Hi and welcome to 2015! I hope you all had a very happy Christmas with lots of fun and good-cheer (plus the odd present or two ... or three ... ). For those with kids, I trust you haven't gone completely bonkers and are surviving the Christmas holidays? From my angle, it's about 80% 'Yippee no more lunches, washing uniforms and running kids around" and 20% - "Seriously, how many more days to go?!"

On the writing front there's lot's of exciting things kicking this year off! Let me tell you a few ...

I'm thrilled to bits that Mountain Ash is a finalist in the 2014 Australian Romance Reader (ARR) Awards.

Nominated in the Favourite Contemporary Romance category, alongside some other wonderful books and authors, it's such an honour to be listed.

Voting is open to members until 14th February.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner to be held on 7 March 2015 in Canberra as part of the Australian Romance Readers Convention.

The first week of December  - my official crank up week for Christmas. Unfortunately, as I have edits due at two publishing houses for both ROSE RIVER and my new US novella, I haven't gotten into festive mode yet. Although I'd better hurry, the kids are currently counting down the days until end of school and I haven't even STARTED Christmas shopping yet!

Things have been absolutely humming around my hill for the last couple of months. Racing to complete first round edits on ROSE RIVER for Random House, Australia, writing a new, 'Hot Aussie Hero' novella for US Publisher TULE, and I have barely had time to think let alone breathe.

There was great excitement here on the Hill on Friday night! I finally heard back from my publisher to say she, LOVES my new book ROSE RIVER!!! The comments went like this, 'I love it! It's like Bridget Jones in the Bush! It's funny, charming and still maintains that obvious love for the country and country characters.'

WHOO HOO! I'm a happy, happy girl!
